Did you know the oldest cave paintings ever discovered (40,000 years old) used the color red? Red is the first color humans can perceive. Kings wore red in the Middle Ages to signal their God-given right to the throne. Red is the first color of the rainbow. Red represents both love and rage. Red, the team colors of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.
Red is everywhere: blood red, red-blooded American, red light, red-faced, red-Chinese, red-handed, red herring, red-headed stranger, red-headed stepchild, in the red, red zone, the red eye, red-letter day, red-light district, red line, red-tag sale, red tape, red carpet, paint the town red, red hot, seeing red, red cent, red flag, red meat, and on and on.
Gotta be some songs with red in the title, yes? Little Red Corvette jumps to mind. Red, Red Wine, Lady in Red. I have three lesser known, maybe. What have you got?
