MAKE IT STOP! Having an uninvited song stuck in your head can sure be one of life's little annoyances. An “earworm” is okay if it's a pleasant tune that lodges in there, like say the theme from The Mary Tyler Moore Show. But more often than not, it's one of those grievous jingles like 588-2300-EMPIRE, or 877-Kars4Kids. Equally terrible, some heinous Top-40 thing like The Pena Colada Song or The Copacabana that you overheard on the sound system while in the baking isle of Kroger. It can almost make you confess to a crime you didn't commit just to make it stop. Please forgive me if one of those just mentioned is now stuck in yours.
I've had one recently playing on a loop in my brain. Fortunately for me, it's a banger. Maybe it's because I referenced them earlier in the week. Whatever the case, it showed up and I'm just fine with it. It sure beats the Oscar Meyer Weiner song.
