My longtime friend, Todd, turned me onto this outfit called The Cleverlys a while back. They're a funny bunch of talented musicians that hail from around these parts, the Ozarks. I haven't had a chance to catch them live yet, but I'm on the lookout.
Recently, I've had a few exchanges with kids in their late teens and early twenties. More than one has commented on their interest in the decades of the 70s, 80, and 90s. I guess it can't be termed nostalgia, can it? Don't you have to have experienced something in order to be nostalgic for it? But they're curious about and intrigued by that era, especially by the music. When the subject comes up, I just give them the old guy nod and say, “Yep, I was right there in it.”
